About These Programs
Patient assistance programs (PAPs) are manufacturer-funded programs that provide free medication to patients who cannot afford their medications. Unlike savings cards — which are prohibited for Medicare/Medicaid beneficiaries — PAPs are structured to comply with federal law and are legal for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Lilly Cares Foundation provides free Mounjaro and Zepbound. Income threshold is generally 400% of the federal poverty level (~$60,240 for a single person in 2026). Applications require physician involvement and take 2–6 weeks to process.
Novo Nordisk Patient Assistance Program provides free Ozempic and Wegovy under similar eligibility criteria. Income thresholds and application requirements are comparable to Lilly Cares.
This screener is for general informational purposes only. Eligibility for patient assistance programs is determined by the program administrators based on your complete application, income documentation, and clinical information. Income thresholds, program availability, and eligibility criteria are subject to change. Apply directly through Lilly Cares Foundation (1-800-545-5979) or Novo Nordisk Patient Assistance (1-866-310-7549) for official eligibility determination.
