The goal is simple: save researchers time. Instead of visiting six supplier websites and copying prices into a spreadsheet, you can see a side-by-side comparison here, updated automatically.
We use an automated scraper that pulls current prices directly from supplier websites. Prices are timestamped so you can see exactly when each data point was captured.
Our pipeline includes an outlier-detection step: if any price changes by more than 25% since the last run, it's held for human review before going live. This catches scraper errors and genuine large price movements that deserve a second look.
Supplier rankings in our price tables are determined solely by price. We do not accept payment to alter where a supplier appears in a comparison table.
Where a row is sponsored (a supplier has paid for inclusion or placement outside the normal ranking), it is clearly labeled "Sponsored". Paid placements are visually distinct from organic results.
